Stolen valor is so dishonest, but even if these people are videotaped, i would say, for the most part there not gonna get charged. Very few are.

Who TF cares? The fact that you can get this upset about someone being thanked for service he didn't do just shows you do it for that admiration he's receiving and not because you want to serve and protect your country.
